Ron Petrick grew up in the Burnet and Lake Buchanan area. He taught High School Mathematics at San Angelo Central High School, then joined GTE in 1973 and held numerous management positions that took him throughout the world publishing telephone directories. Ron retired from GTE in 1997 and moved back home to Burnet County. Ron became a realtor in 2006, helping clients share in the place he loves to call home.

Ron loves all that the Highland Lakes has to offer. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially taking his four grandsons out on the lake for a day of fun. Hunting and fishing are favorite activities for Ron, and he occasionally likes a round of golf. He is one that loves to get on a cruise ship and just relax. He is very active in his church and volunteers at LaCARE Burnet food pantry, as a small way to give back to the area which is very emotionally important to him.
As a member of the Highland Lakes Association of Realtors, Ron places all listings into both Highland Lakes Assoc. of Realtors and Austin Board of Realtors. This allows a wider marketing area and via the internet, Ron has access to ALL area listings.
Ron is a graduate of Texas Realtor Leadership Program (TRLP) and was elected as Realtor of the year in 2013. He has served the Highland Lakes Association of Realtors® as Treasurer, President Elect, and President in 2018. He has chaired various committees of the HLAoR leadership including Professional Development Committee, MLS Committee, Budget/Finance, Membership.
He believes that keeping on top of the changes in protocol and procedure is extremely important. As an agent, it’s necessary to know the latest techniques and technology, so he can do the best for his clients.
